Teams Meeting IDs are the same for every Team meeting. The links appear to be unique, but the IDs are the same.

My company recently switched from using dedicated desktop applications to using the web versions of Office. A group of employees create Teams meetings to send out to clients, and one of our group noticed that the Teams meetings have different links but the same Meeting IDs. I wanted to know if this was by design, or if there's something we should change on our end so that the IDs are unique. Thanks.

    Hi @Christopher Etges

I wanted to know if this was by design, or if there's something we should change on our end so that the IDs are unique.

If you create a recurring meeting, the meeting ID is static.

According to the content of this article, you could reset the meeting ID in the Teams admin center.
