Hey

In my setup I already have a Cloud Service (Classic) CMG which all my internet machines point to. I am unable to Convert this due to domain being cloudapp.net so I need to create a new CMG.

I would like to create CMG VMSS but I have a few questions pls:

1. Can have both CMG deployments (VMSS and Classic) side by side in my SCCM?
2. If so can I point the new VMSS version to a collection of machines for testing?
**3. How would the machines on the internet be able to update FQDN to the new CMG - I am thinking the server****

Thanks, M

    1. Yes, although keep in mind that non-VMSS based CMG support will be removed in the near future so this should only be temporary.
    2. For Internet clients you cannot as they will randomly select. However, you can use boundary group mapping for intranet clients
    3. Same as all other configuration and location services -- via machine policy and at the time the client performs a location service request. In both cases, connectivity to an existing MP is assumed which can certainly be via the existing CMG.
