Seeing last modified markers even though I'm the only person editing (though between machines)

I keep seeing markers on the side showing that I've edited / added text.  Not sure why this would ever show since I'm the only person OneNote but regardless is there a way to just "accept" the changes if that's what I need to do?

As far as the OneNote logic goes you are two different persons if you edit from different machines :)

I just know the exact commands in the german OneNote version (2013/2016) but just plain translating them should help you:

To hide the editor markers choose "Hide Authors" from the "History" menu.

in the same area you will find a command to mark the actual page or the whole notebook as "read" to remove the bold text from the pages which have recently changed.

    Hope that helped

Ok thanks!  Yeah, I saw the hide option I used that.  I thought I tried "read" and it didn't seem to do anything but I'll have a look again.

Also, that's weird logic.  If I'm signed in on both machines, I shouldn't be treated as two different people editing.  Oh well :)

Yes it seems a little strange. But sometimes it may come in handy to know from which computer (or tablet, smartphone) I added or changed an information, even if (what is usually the case) I am using the same account on all devices.
