Installed Fonts Not Showing In Drop Down Menu's

I have installed OTF fonts and while working in WORD the fonts do not appear in FORMAT > FONT drop down nor the FONT drop down. I have uninstalled the font and reinstalled through Font Book. Font shows up in Font Book but not available within either drop down menu ... any idea's? Kinda crazy because the font does appear when using 365.

Thank You.

If the fonts are available online, please post their names and I'll test them.

    Hi,

Thank you for answering. I've tried the font in the folders disk/Library/Fonts and user/Library/Fonts.

I haven't tried the font in disk/System/Library/Fonts, as you have done, for the reason you give. (Anyway, I don't have permission to put fonts into that folder and apparently I don't have permission to change the permission, although I am the administrator.)

I tried Fontbook first. As with VickiNewsom, the fonts show in Fontbook and in other applications but not in MS Office.

I also asked about this in a discussion on an Apple forum. Vicki, You might want to try the fix suggested there: https://discussions.apple.com/message/30032277?ac\_cid=tw123456#30032277.

I'm not able to duplicate your results. Word 2011, OS X 10.11.4, Kameron Regular and Bold copied to the System /Library/Fonts folder is showing up here in the Word font menu. It may be that you have some other issue either with fonts or your Office installation, it's not a program bug.

Try running the Font Book application, choose Edit>Select All followed by File>Validate Fonts. This will find any problem fonts, duplicates or disabled fonts. Also, in Word and Excel use Help>Check for Updates to make sure you're at version 14.6.2.

BTW, it's a better idea to leave that folder for system and software-installed fonts and to use your user fonts folder for design or unusual fonts (Users/YourUserName/Library/Fonts). It makes it easier to diagnose font issues and to clean out customer fonts between jobs.

Hold down the Alt key while clicking on the Go menu and choosing Library to open your user library folder

Newly added fonts are not available in either Excel or Word (2011 for Mac).

These fonts are available in other, non-Microsoft, programs.

    OSX 10.11.4

I installed the fonts first in:

    [harddisk]/Library/Fonts

    then in:

    [harddisk]/Library/Fonts/Microsoft
