    Hi Kelvin,

Since the same symptom can be caused by different reasons, to clarify your scenario, could you confirm the following info?

1.Confirm whether you have tried the troubleshooting steps in the thread, and then share the outcome.

2.Check if you use the latest version of OneDrive (17.3.6386.0412)

3.Go to the registry editor to check the DefaultToBusinessFRE.reg and EnableAddAccount.reg . To check it: Right click Windows icon on the lower-left corner>RUN>Input Regedit> Go to the path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OneDrive

Moreover, for further investigation, I'd like to collect your tenant and OS info via Private Message at https://community.office365.com/user/conversations?

Please share updates when you have time.

    Thanks,

    Felix

    Hi Kelvin,

    Thanks for your updates.

Since you can see the OneDrive icon in the System Tray, to clarify if you are encountering the same issue as GeorgeBeamer, could you click the OneDrive icon and check if there is a set-up window. If there is, could you try the steps in the article to set up it and check the version of it?

Moreover, what do you mean about “I also now see OneDrive is in the System Tray, but it's the old version again. “? What’s the version of the OneDrive Next Generation Sync Client you see in the System Tray?

Please also check if you are using the OneDrive for Business  Next Generation Sync Client via the article.

    Thanks,

    Cliff

    Hi Cliff and Felix -

I have now run through all the steps listed in this thread to no avail.

    Here is my latest steps.

Version of Office and Visio that I have installed:

    Office Professional Plus 2016 16.0.4266.1001

    Microsoft Visio Professional 2016 16.0.4266.1001

    In %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive - I do have OneDrive.exe 17.3.6386.0412.

I did not have the registry keys DefaultToBusinessFRE.reg and EnableAddAccount.reg, so I've added them, I then exited OneDrive and restarted it by running %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive.exe and that restarted OneDrive, but I believe the version that came with office 2016.  If I go into task manager, it shows as Groove.exe version 16.0.4366.1000.

I ran the taskkill /f /im onedrive.exe and get ERROR: The process "OneDrive.exe" not found.

I've run %systemroot%\syswow64\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall.  I still have a OneDrive icon in the Systray, and task manager still shows Groove.exe running.  I then ran the Clean Boot, and see %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive directory does not include onedrive.exe anymore.  I re-installed OneDrive 17.3.6386.0412, get the install screen show in these threads, that says "Preparing OneDrive for first use" and then it goes away.  No first time setup window.  I also now see OneDrive is in the System Tray, but it's the old version again.  In Task Manager I see Groove.exe version 16.0.4366.1000.

Should I uninstall the OneDrive that comes with Office Pro Plus 2016?  Any other suggestions?

Would really like to get this resolved as soon as possible.

    -Kelvin

    Hi Kelvin,

Thanks for your information in PM.

As Felix said, since each issue can be caused by different reason, could you confirm the points Felix mentioned above?

Moreover, as you are using Windows 10, I suggest you try the uninstalling steps Felix provided in https://community.office365.com/en-us/f/172/t/440287 and then re-install the latest version of the OneDrive Next Generation Sync Client to check the outcome first.

    Thanks,

    Cliff
