Get Excel to offer tsv extension as a file type

When you try to save a document to *.TSV format in Excel, the closest that is offered is "Text (Tab delimited) (*.txt)", and the "More options" link doesn't offer *.TSV either.

Is there some way to get TSV offered, or do you need to choose TXT and then manually rename the file?

    Hi,

I am afraid that renaming the file is the only way.

The workaround I've been using is to name the file first, save as self from within Excel, and ignore the request to save when exiting the program, which is where the problem occurs.  But this is just a workaround.
