Hello,
I'm having this same problem on a HP Revolve 810 G2 using the HP Executive Pen. However, for me it's happening in Powerpoint. I have tried different versions of Office (2007, 2013, and 2016) and the issue is the same across all versions. I then went back to 2013 and that's what I have now. The issue seems to happen only when I'm in presentation mode. It doesn't happen when in slide view. It also seems to happen only when my palm is resting on the laptop screen, however, I have turned off touch input completely in the pen and touch settings (so when I use my finger to touch the screen, nothing happens), so I don't know why it's sensing my palm. Like there is in Onenote, there isn't a setting to "Turn off automatic learning" in the Powerpoint settings. I do have it disabled in the pen and touch settings. Office should be up to date. I have also tried another Revolve 810 G2 and I was able to replicate the problem, so the issue isn't limited to just that one device. Please help!

Your original issue was that the touchpad is sensing your palm in Slideshow mode. Disabling the touchpad should eliminate this problem.
John,
Why would I want to disable the touchpad? This issue is when using the HP executive pen stylus within PowerPoint presentation mode. This issue doesn't happen when NOT in presentation mode.
Since this happens across several versions of Office, it's unlikely that it's a PowerPoint issue. More likely a touchpad driver issue.
You may have seen this already, but here's a page from HP about turning off all the touch settings: Title: HP EliteBook Revolve 810 Tablet - How to Disabled the Touchpad in Windows, though I have to admit, the bad grammar in the title gives me pause. HP has been in financial trouble for some time, and it's been showing in the quality of their drivers and support.
Hello,

Few more details would help us to provide a better response.
I suggest you to try installing latest touchscreen drivers on your laptop and then check if PowerPoint work as expected.
Please post back with the information asked for further assistance.
