    Hi Joe,

We have received your response in private message. Thanks for providing the requested information.

According to your previous updates, the “presence unknown” error also occurs between your SfB online users and other external SfB contacts. Is this so? Please help to confirm it.

I have checked the DNS settings of the domain which is used by your SfB online users. And I found that the two SRV records (which are related to SfB federation services) may contain wrong priority and weight values. The correct values should be:

    Priority:100;Weight:1;Port:443;sipdir.online.lync.com

    and

    Priority:10;Weight:1;Port:5061;sipfed.online.lync.com

Please try to change it and see if the issue persists. Feel free to let us know if it does.

    Regards,

    Allen

    Hi Joe,

    Thanks for your updates.

You mentioned "Office 365 tenant have two sip domains". Do you mean these two sip domains are added into the same Office 365 tenant or different Office 365 tenants? One is used only for Skype for Business Online. The other is used to Skype for business hybrid deployment with Office 365. I noticed that you set "On except for blocked domains" under external communications in Skype for Business admin center. Please confirm the SIP domain is not in the blocked domains list. In addition, could you give us the SIP domains via Private Message so that we can check the DNS records for you?

    Best Regards,

    1.    What are the actual symptoms the users are facing? Can’t they send instant messages, initiate audio/video calls, or schedule meetings?

another sip domain lync user presence unknowm.

    1.    Does the issue occur to all users or only some specific ones?

All user, try different user account.

    1.    Is this the first time you test your entire deployment? If not, did everything work fine before? When did the issue start?

first time and not work fine before.

    1.    What about the Exchange deployment? Please also provide some details since the services of Exchange and Skype for Business are usually integrated.

    exchange is using exchange online.

Moreover, since our forum mainly focuses on Office 365 online services, it is important to firstly make sure that your online services are working fine. Can you please test whether your SfB online users can do everything normally with other external SfB contacts?

presence unknow. does any wrong setting on o365 portal?

when i add another sfb onmicrosoft.com user the error as below

ms-diagnostics: 27002;reason="From-Uri Domain is not in the receiver-tenant allow list";source="BN11A07FES16.INFRA.LYNC.COM";appName="IncomingFederation"

    Server: IncomingFederation/6.0.0.0

    Thanks

    Hi Joe,

According to your description, one SIP domain is using Skype for Business (SfB) online services, and the other is in a Lync hybrid deployment. The issue is about online users communicating with hybrid users.

In order to better understand the situation and then narrow down the root cause, please also let us know the following details:

    1.    What are the actual symptoms the users are facing? Can’t they send instant messages, initiate audio/video calls, or schedule meetings?

    2.    Does the issue occur to all users or only some specific ones?

    3.    Is this the first time you test your entire deployment? If not, did everything work fine before? When did the issue start?

    4.    What about the Exchange deployment? Please also provide some details since the services of Exchange and Skype for Business are usually integrated.

Moreover, since our forum mainly focuses on Office 365 online services, it is important to firstly make sure that your online services are working fine. Can you please test whether your SfB online users can do everything normally with other external SfB contacts?

    Looking forward to your updates.

    Thanks,

    Allen
