I can't activate Office 365 because it seems that my product key isn't supported in the region I've selected. What will I do?

    If you bought a key from outside of your "Region" you the best fix is to get a replacement key specific for your region.

    The simplest approach is try to get the store you bought it from to replace / exchange it.

    Or you can try contacting MS Support. Most of the time this tends to be a long, drawn out, painful process of trying to find someone who is willing to do this for you.

    Geographically Restricted Microsoft Software - Region

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/howtotell/geoinfo.aspx

    Microsoft offers additional versions of Windows and Office to meet regional requirements. These versions are restricted for sale, activation, and use only in the geographical locations for which they were intended. These restrictions are clearly indicated on the product packaging as shown on this page. Learn how to identify specific anti-counterfeiting features of genuine Microsoft media and packaging.

    Having difficulty activating geographically restricted Windows and/or Office online?

    Find instructions for offline activation for different versions of Windows and Office in the Microsoft Help and Support Center article (KB 950929). If you don’t see the product you are looking for, select “Click here to view or hide detailed information” in Step 1 of the “More Information” section.

    <snip>

    easy workaround is to use vpn and make it appear as if connecting from us.

    i used a plugin called Zenmate when connecting to broswer for activation and voila the error msg was no longer there

    </snip>

    One user recently reported that using a VPN from Germany to the US did not work for them. I don't remember what the final resolution was.
