printing on an A2 Card

I am trying to print an an A2 Card (4.24 x 5.5).   I want the print on the inside of the card on the right side of the page (as in printing a verse inside the card).   My file looks perfect,  the print preview is perfect but when I put the card in the printer the print comes exactly centered over the fold of the card.  I am using a hp laser 1018, and it used to work, but I think it has something to do with either windows 10 or word 2010.   Because it used to work before.    I have an hp inkjet (currently out of ink) that would print perfectly, but I am constantly having to purchase inkjet cartridges.    So I need a solution that works with my laser printer.    Thanks so much.

If I could figure out how to get back to the proper place to post I might be able to solve my problem.  I can't even figure out how to navigate back to there.   Does it have to be this complicated?   I am getting very frustrated.

Try saving the document as a pdf and the print from Adobe Reader.

The issue is probably with the driver for your printer that may need to be updated for it to work correctly with Windows 10.  The printer manufacturer may have one on their website.

As I said, you will need to modify the layout of the document to move the text into the desired position on the card when it prints.  If it is printing in the centre of the card and you want it on the right, you will need to move it to the right.  That will probably require increasing the left margin and reducing the right margin.

Thanks for your reply.   When I look at the document on my screen the print is exactly where I want it to be.   Even in print preview it is where it should be.   I am feeding the card into the printer (what I would call sideways, as my printer has another slot for smaller items.   So even though the document shows on my screen in what I would call the portrait view, I am feeding it into the printer in the landscape position.   But the print still ends up in the center of the card (not on the right hand side).   If I try to feed the card into the printer in the normal slot, the card it to short.   Today I tried to use an 8.5 by 11 (standard card stock and printed my verse twice on the right side of the page, fed it through in the normal slot and then took my printed copy and cut it in my paper trimmer.

I got the same results, but previously I was able to print my cards by just putting the print in the spot that I wanted and running the cards through the smaller slot.   Now for some reason it does not work, but as I said if I had ink in my ink jet printer I fed the cards in sideways and they printed perfectly.    I just don't understand what I am doing differently.

Thanks for any help you can give me.    I make a lot of cards and this issue is driving me crazy.

You will need to modify the layout of the document so that the text is printed in the desired location, and\or change the way in which the card is fed into the printer.
