I purchased the Military Version of Office 365 from the NEX for $69.99 but now it want's me to renew for $99.99. Last year I had the same issue, uninstalled my old version, and bought a new license for $69.99. Now it wan't me to renew for $99.99 again!!! This is stupid. How do I renew at the same military rate???? If I don't get an answer, I'll just uninstall again, and go back to the NEX for a new copy. C'mon Microsoft!!!!

I found this method to enter the new Military product key I purchased as the only way to upgrade. It seems Microsoft doesn't want to upgrade the Military version automatically.

Go here and sign in:

I entered my new Military Office 365 product key on this page and it updated my Office 365 for another year.

If your version is associated with an MS Account any key is only used in the initial setup.

As far as I'm aware military version is simply a discounted version, its not a version in its own right (Possibly Pro Plus version)

AltonDugas and others,  I am in the same boat.  My renewal comes up in October 2016, and as Bob_cvg noted MS should have known that I have a military account based upon the key I used.  Palcouk answer was not helpful and did not address Bob_cvg posting.

Also, the box clearly states $69.99 PER year for Office 365 Family. When I log on from work and navigate to the HUP site, it is listed there also, but there is no BUY/RENEW option. I tried the chat and they directed me to their military site and it is $99 as you already know. Any help or solution besides going buy from the exchange every year would be greatly appreciated.

I tried that - the person in the chat couldn't help b/c military is a different department. I was told in chat to try and call MS at their 800 #. Then the chat closed and I lost the # he gave me. :( The only downside is I have to download all my files from the cloud to my HDD and then copy them back up after the "new" license is installed.

It's stupid b/c MS should ALREADY KNOW from the serial number that I installed the Military version, and offer THAT upgrade instead of the retail one.
