Excel isn't jumping to cell when using Find

When using the latest version of Excel 2016: I use the find window on the top right hand corner of a spreadsheet and type in something. After I hit enter, sometimes it will go to the cell with that string, other times it won't jump to it but when I scroll through the spreadsheet, it will highlight where it is. How do I fix that?

yes, it does show the correct cell shown in the address field. and you are correct in your thought process about it scrolling to the location of the cell one is trying to find. I will try to post an example. thanks!

I'm not sure. When it fails, is the correct cell shown in the address field to the left of the formula bar, and is the correct contents shown in the formula bar? I believe what you are saying is that Excel finds the value, selects the cell but does not scroll the sheet to the cell. If so, this seems to be a bug, but we need to be able to duplicate the process. I can't with any of my data - it always works correctly. Can you post an example file where it fails?
