Apple Pencil latency with OneNote + iPad Pro 12.9"

Has anyone else been frustrated by the latency with this combination when hand-writing notes?  It's so much slower than using other note-taking apps like GoodNote and Notability that offer Apple Pencil support.

This is stopping me from using OneNote since I want to be able to hand-write as quickly as I can with the other apps.

    Thank you for reporting this issue to us.  We have had a few threads where customers voiced similar concerns - can you confirm for me if thissounds like the same issue you're having?

    If yes, we want you to know that it's a known issue and the team is currently working on a fix that will be rolled out with the next OneNote update. In the meantime, you can subscribe to the thread I mentioned, where Brian from the OneNote team has been keeping up with latest updates.

    My name is not Vince.  I'm not sure where you derived that from.

    The OneNote app is the latest version available on Apple's App Store.  15.22.1 (160506 c1).

    I have deleted + reinstalled the app and it is still slower when handwriting that other apps are.

    What next?
