Freezing Multiple Columns & Rows in Excel (not the top row or first column)

I want to be able to to freeze the 7th row of my spreadsheet whilst simultaneously freezing the first column. 

Is this possible?

    Hi Naomi,

    Yes, you can freeze the 7^th^ row and the first column at the same time. Please follow the steps:

    1. Select the cell immediately below and to the right of the rows and columns that you want to freeze. I select cell B8 in the example below:

    1. Click Freeze Panes under the Freeze panes in the VIEW tab:

    Please note that there are two separation lines.
