Pictures Disappear after Animating.

At 70 years old I was given the task to make a PowerPoint for one of my sisters who is turning 80 in a couple of weeks.  I had never done a PowerPoint so it has been a learning experience for sure.  I am almost done except I have a real problem in that the pictures disappear after the animation.

The animation plays the picture and when its finished the picture goes away.   How on earth do I stop this from happening.  This is very annoying to say the least.  All I want is for it to animate then stay on the slide it's on.

I need help fast because I don't have long to finish it now.   Thanks in advance for your help.   Hope its an easy fix....I can't do complicated...lol

Thanks Loopy

This issue has been resolved just by removing the pictures completely then putting them back in.  This answer was provided to me by P-Spice from Nuts and Bolts.

I see a lot of people have had this problem since way back in 2000 so this isn't anything new.  I was checking the issue on Google and so many over the years have had this problem.  I can't believe it hasn't been addressed and stopped ove all these years and versions of PowerPoint.  There has to be a quick fix for this problem somewhere.

Sorry, just kind of thinking out loud here.  I didn't really see any good answers anywhere

I understand it has been completely rewritten all I am saying is that I found lots of people with this exact issue from way back that long ago.

Here is an example that someone wrote  in 2009 in regards to PP 2003 and I can show many more from much further back.

I'm not trying to be difficult, I really appreciate your help but I'm just trying to point out that it has been an issue for a very long time.

Yeah, so I'm putting together a powerpoint for my presentation. However,

after crafting a couple animations, I encountered a problem. After using some

of the entrance animations, the objects coming in do not stay on the slide.

For example, using APPEAR on one of the objects, after it appears, it

promptly disappears. Also, this happens when using fade and compress.

While this thoroughly perplexes me, this isn't the end. On other slides, the

same animation does not come up with the same problem. Using appear doesn't

cause it to disappear after the animation finishes, and similar to the other

    animations.

I'd like to keep these objects on the slide without disappearing until I

move onto the next slide. I'd also like to accomplish this without putting in

another DISAPPEAR animation because that would add in another click, then

result in an empty slide before moving on.

I'm currently using Microsoft PowerPoint 2003.

On the Animations tab, please click on Animation Pane. This will list all objects and their animations. Check that your objects don't have exit animations (colored red) that would make them disappear.

Thank you John but they all are set to "Don't Dim".  I've checked them all.  So I'm guessing that's not the issue.  Any other thoughts?
