How can I write Barcode in MS Word 365

Hello

I am using Microsoft Office 365.

I can type Barcode by MS Word using barcode fonts. But these do not print all type of characters. I need to print underscore( _ ) in my barcoding. I need to know built-in (advanced) options of MS Word 365 to print Barcodes.

Does Microsoft have any ActiveX for this purpose?

Can anybody help me in any way!

Thank you. I have tried as per your guideline. But found no option like “activate barcode now”'. Here is the snapshot:

I scrolled the whole list, but I saw nothing related to Barcode. Do you have any other suggestion?

Use either the MergeBarCode field or the more capable DisplayBarCode field, both of which were added to Word 2013.

I am using Office 365 and do not see the "legacy tools" option. Is there another way to get to the "activate bar code now"?

OR, how can I get to the New Document option while printing labels to print barcodes?

Hi Alberto,

You will have to install the barcode add-in, after which let us enable the “develops tab.”

To do that open word---file---options-------customize ribbon---check the option---“Developer”---click ok.

Once done, click on the develops tab in the ribbon—in the control section---click on----legacy tools---more control----choose the option---“activate barcode now” and click OK.
