FWIW, I agree with ScottG and Tom - SSMA is a much better tool than the old upsizing wizard.

    From the [SSMA website](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=43690):

*SSMA for Access v6.0 is designed to support migration from Microsoft Access 97 and higher to all editions of SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012, SQL Server 2014 and Azure SQL DB.*

SSMA most definitely works for SSE, but you must be sure to setup SSE correctly. Be sure to enable Remote Connections, for example.

The SSMA does not allow migration to SQL express as I understand it the upsizing wizard does. Why remove a useful facility as an upgrade ? Also almost all online references to SQL express refer to the upsizing wizard.

I think the Upsizing wizard was deprecated back in 2013. If you are migrating to SQL Server, you should use SSMA from SQL Server.

What are you trying to convert?

    Hi,

SSMA returns errors since some microsoft.access.interop.dao version 12.0.0.0 (...) could not be found during loading the access file. In return I can't select any table.

    Reinstalling fresh doesn't help.

Downloading the fix (which I found for exact this error message) doesn't install (You need Office 2007 first).

No matter, if I start SSMA 6.1 for 32 bit or 64 Bit (both accdb and mdb are present), I can't convert.

I have a fresh installed PC with Win10, SQL 2014 and Office 2016 loaded...

    Any ideas ?

Consolidation. Why have two tools while the other one (SSMA) is clearly superior.

You can download SSMA from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42656
