    Hello,

    Thank you for reply.

Since file was not saved on OneDrive, you may also get in touch with apple support and check if they are able to help in recovering the file from the  IPad.

Yes it was pretty frustrating considering that I had to rewrite an entire 800 word discussion, hence why I didn't bother to reply to this before. Seeing that this was a Microsoft app I didn't understand the propose of contacting Apple since the source of the problem came from the Word app. I honestly don't see the purpose of placing a 'delete draft' option above the 'save draft' option when there is no in app way of recovering deleted files, especially if there isn't any pop up that asks "Are you sure you would like to delete this draft?"

Yes i do have autosave enabled and i have an account for one drive, however i did not link microsoft to my onedrive account. So when i checked OneDrive there was nothing in the recyclebin folder.

What happened was that while editing my document, i clicked back arrow button so that i can save it. When i did that i accidentally clicked delete draft which was above the "save" button.
