Azure fileshare not getting mounted - Access Denied Error

  • Storage Account ( GPv2 LRS )
  • Ping test to port 445 is working fine from Windows VM (on other subscription same region ) where filesharing to be mount.
  • VM is added under Storage Account role assignment with ( Storage File Data SMB Share Elevated Contributor and Storage File Data SMB Share Reader ) roles
  • Connectivity thru Private Endpoint is working too.

While create a mount on Azure Windows VM (on other subscription same region ) getting Access Denied.

    Hi,

    Seems like a authentication issue not passing through the service principal name check this link - storage-troubleshoot-windows-file-connection-problems
