Hello,
I recently had to replace WSUS server, the old one's database was corrupted and I couldn't restore it, it was in a bad shape for a very long time.
So the new server started with minimal number of clients and it worked fine, gradually I added more clients and checked more packages for download and it was ok, until yesterday I added all of my clients to the new server, and now all of them receive error 80244010 when trying to search for updates. (all of the new clients)
What should I do in this case? Is it a matter of time because of too many clients, or too many updates to sync?
Should I just wait and it will be fine eventually?

If it matters, old WSUS server was 2012R2 and the new one is 2016.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
It's likely that the error 0x80244010 is evidence that a client has exceeded the number of trips allowed to a WSUS server.
You may try to use group policy "Automatic Update detection frequency" to synchronize updates more often (you can find it in the section Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Update), for example, up to every 3 hours.

Are you performing the proper WSUS maintenance including but not limited to running the Server Cleanup Wizard (SCW), declining superseded updates, running the SQL Indexing script, etc.?

    To quote myself:

Just because you’ve installed a new WSUS server, doesn’t mean that it’s clean or optimized; it just means that it’s NEW!

Do you have the appropriate requirements for your VM (assuming VM) - Pay attention to vCPUs and Application Pool Memory.

If you have the latest MEMCM, yes, Microsoft offers a checkbox that allows SOME of the maintenance to be done by MEMCM/SCCM

You don't have to purchase WAM - my intention was to guide you on what you should be doing for maintenance and alert you that you need to do the maintenance.

Microsoft does have their guide (linked in part 8 of my blog series above) on what maintenance you should be doing.
