Hi
I had Office 2013 (365 University sub) 32-bit and it was automatically updated to 2016 32-bit.
I would like to have the x64 version. How do I get hold of the x64 installer and if I uninstall the 32-bit version and reinstall the x64 will it keep all my data files (in particular Outlook mail and settings)?
Thanks

Hello,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
There would not be any issues in keeping the Outlook information after installing 64 Bit version of Office 2016, however it is always advised to back-up important Outlook Settings (including Account Settings for your email account/s) and the Outlook Data File.
You can refer to the following Microsoft Article for information on how to back-up Outlook Data Files:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/287070
Note: The above Microsoft Article shows you steps on how to back-up data files in Outlook 2010, and the same steps work for Outlook 2013 version as well.
To install 64 Bit version of Office 2016 follow these steps:

One of the things I noticed is that there is actually several different pages depending on the type and source of your 365 access. For myself I need to login to my University E-mail which is done through an Office 365 connection. The login does NOT work on outlook.com or for Microsoft in general but it does give me access to my Outlook through the University Web login page (which is a Microsoft page so I am a little unclear as to why Microsoft wouldn't allow you to access this directly, but that is a different topic).
Anyhow once on that page click on the big Office 365 on the top left, that will bring you to the main Office page for you. For me on the top right there is an icon to "Install Office 2016". Immediately below that there is a link in smaller text called "Other Installs". Click this.
Once the page comes up you will see a Office, Manage Installs page. On this page is where you can select your language and edition. Select which Language you want to install (personally I would recommend installing the default English edition and then downloading the other language pack to allow switching between depending on if anyone else may need to access your office install, i.e. tech support and such). Next you will see next to it a 32-bit with a link for advanced next to it, this is where you select your 64-bit edition.
Once those are selected click on Install and go from there. I only wish they allow an offline install package so I don't have to do a full download every time. (I have several personal computers and reinstall semi-frequently)
I am sorry if this is an old reply and no longer needed, I just found it to be concise and specific to what you needed as things did not appear to be well explained in the follow up posts you received.
Hi, Mohan did not make a mistake. The layout is not always exactly the same depending on your version of Office. This is how it looks on my Office Account:
Office for Windows
Language: English
Additional install options
Install from disc
As advised click on 'Additional install Options' a new window will open. You will see which version you have on your computer 32bit or 64bit. You can change by clicking on the dropdown arrow. Then click on install.
Other versions of Office
Office is available in two versions, 32-bit and 64-bit. Which version is right for you depends on how you plan to use Office
Yes, I would advise you to uninstall your office before reinstall a different version by using the Microsoft Uninstall tool. Use Option 2 - Completely uninstall Office with the easy fix tool
