Hi ,

I have installed Office 365 2016 with the below configuration in Windows 10

<Configuration>

    <Add SourcePath="" OfficeClientEdition="32" OfficeMgmtCOM="True">

       <Product ID="O365ProPlusRetail" >

            <Language ID="en-us" />

            >

            <ExcludeApp ID="Lync" />

            <ExcludeApp ID="Project" />

            <ExcludeApp ID="Visio" />

            <ExcludeApp ID="Groove" />

            <ExcludeApp ID="InfoPath" />

            <ExcludeApp ID="OneDrive" />

            <ExcludeApp ID="SharePointDesigner" />

        </Product>

    </Add>

   <Updates Enabled="FALSE" Channel="Deferred" />

   <Display Level="None" AcceptEULA="TRUE" />

   <Logging Level="Standard" Path="%temp%" />

   <Property Name="AUTOACTIVATE" Value="1" />

   <Property Name="FORCEAPPSHUTDOWN" Value="FALSE" />

    <Property Name="PinIconsToTaskBar" Value="False" />

</Configuration>

When I try export to Spreadsheet or Edit in Excel :

I receive The list cannot be displayed in Datasheet view for one or more of the following reasons: A datasheet component compatible with Windows SharePoint Services is not installed, your browser does not support ActiveX controls, or support for ActiveX controls is disabled error message when you trying to view SharePoint list in Datasheet view.

Could you please suggest how to enable  only Microsoft SharePoint foundation support in Office 365 ? Feature name to include in xml file. or any other separate source which is compatible with Office 365 2016 in Windows 10.

    Hi Mahalakshmi_883,

    Could you confirm the following information?

    1. Go to Internet Explorer and click Settings > "Manage add-ons" > select "All add-ons" from the left pane > make sure the following two add-ons are enabled:

    SharePoint Spreadsheet Launcher

    SharePoint Export Database Launcher

    2. What is your Office version? (go to Excel > File > Account > capture a screenshot of the Office version)

    3. What is your OS version?

    Regarding "Is Data connectivity component"  or SharePoint Foundation Component Services for MS office 365 has been released yet? ", I can't find any official article about when the "data connectivity component" or "SharePoint Foundation Component Services" were released in Office 365.

    Regards,

    James

    Hi Mahalakshmi_883,

    Per this article, an ActiveX control called SpreadSheetLauncher is used in SharePoint to validate whether you have Excel installed for Export to Excel feature.

    Currently, only 32-bit version of IE supports this functionality.

    So, if you're not using IE, try using 32-bit IE and check the result.

    Regards,

    James
