Office 365 Pro Plus Activation

I had access to an office 365 tenant from which I had installed Microsoft Office Pro Plus on my PC. However this tenant expired, and as a result Office 365 Pro Plus is giving me "account notice" on the PC stating that the software needs to be activated.

I have access to another office 365 tenant (different domain from a different organisation) and want to just switch the credentials on my PC without having to uninstall and install the whole thing again. Is that possible.

Right now I am only to switch the user account with which I am logged in to Office 365 Pro Plus, however I am not able to change the account with the product (Office 365 Pro Plus) was activated.

Can you please help.

    Hi Siddharth,

    1. Yes, it's feasible. You can activate Office to use with the other valid license related account.

Office 365 applications can be activated by signing in to Office with a Office 365 account which is associated with valid license.

    1. Regarding the second question, I assume that you want to change the owner of Office which is displayed the belongs to section. If yes, please following the steps below to uninstall the Office product key and sign in with your current valid account to activate Office again:
    1. Right click start button, choose run and type cmd to open Command Prompt on your computer.
    2. Import the path of ospp tool directory as the following picture shows:
    • If you installed the 64-bit version of Office 2016, the path is: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16
    • If you installed the 32-bit version of Office 2016, the path is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16

         3. Check the status:

             cscript ospp.vbs /dstatus

          4. Uninstall the product key:

cscript ospp.vbs /unpkey:<last five characters of product key>

          5. Restart your computer and open any of applications and sign in to your account to activate Office again.

    Regards,

    William
