Azure for O365 to Azure Premium P1

This may be a dumb question, but I'm going to ask anyways.

I have an Azure AD for Office 365 environment. We are wanting to implement MFA and conditional access. Is there a way to upgrade my Azure instance to Premium P1 at the tenant level, or is this really as simple as adding Azure AD Premium P1 licenses to end users?

So I see there you have Enterprise licensing, is that what I'm looking for? Or am I looking for the "Azure AD Premium P1" license?

    I appreciate your help, David!

You can buy Azure AD Premium P1 as a standalone license but it's generally more cost effective to purchase a license SKU that includes this such as M365 Business Premium/E3/E5.

As David said, this is a per user license entitlement rather than an Azure upgrade. By assigning these licenses you will unlock the additional "premium" features of Azure AD for your tenant.
