Filemaker ODBC

I'm using OSX el Captain, Filemaker Pro Advanced 14.06 und Excel 2016 15.27 (64 bit, Office 365 Home) und iODBC Administrator 3.52.12 (64 bit).

Since Excel "upgraded" to 15.25 64 bit Filemaker Pro ODBC is not working (with Filemaker ODBC driver versions 14.09 and 15.06). The Filemaker ODBC drivers are ok with statistical package R and with  the "test" button in the driver manager. 64 bit ODBC drivers from Actual ( for Access and Open Source Databases) are working with Excel 15.27.

Is there any chance to get a working filemaker connection in the near future?

This issue appears to be solved with the latest version (v16.0.1) of Filemaker's ODBC drivers, reported to be  backward compatible to Filemaker Pro V12. Drivers can be downloaded from here:

    http://help.filemaker.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12921

I have FMP13 advanced and using the version 16.0.1 ODBC drivers can now successfully use Filemaker as a source and Excel 2016 Mac (v15.34) as a client.

    Good luck!

    HI

Did you ever get this to work?

I have Excel 2016 (15.30) and Filemaker 13 and cannot get the two to communicate, with Filemaker as source and Excel as client.

On the same machine I can get Filemaker to make data avalable to Excel 2011 (14.7.1) via ODBC without problem, and I suspect that it is a bug related to the 64/32bit versions of the ODBC chooser/manager

    Regards

Then you should report it this problem to Microsoft as a bug. Click the Smile button in Excel to make the report. This forum is user-to-user where we try to help each other sort things out.

The place to make feature requests is here:

    Excel for Mac

Why should this be a feature request?

I'm asking to fix a broken thing, that was working well before 15.25. MS claims that Excel 64 bit should work with 64 bit ODBC drivers, the filemaker drivers consist of a 32 and a 64 bit driver on mac, which are installed together by the same installer.

More the specifically, the FM driver does not crash Excel (as 32 bit drivers do), it just does not open the import dialog and fails quietly. I think this is simply a bug.
