Microsoft Works issues/printing

I still have Microsoft Works. Came on my computer and has always worked just fine til recently. Now whenever I try to print anything within Works, word pad or spreadsheet. Basically any Microsoft program it will not print properly. It will ever come out a blank page or very faint text.

Yes the printer has ink, yes the printer is set to be the default.

I can print out anything in Adobe just fine, clear as day with no issues.

What do I do to fix the issue with my Microsoft product? I have alot on my computer within that. I've resorted to having to copy stuff over into a blank email then print it that way. Kind of ridiculous if you ask me.

Is there any updates or fixes I can do? I've noticed looking online it seems like nobody uses Microsoft Works anymore or at least no new versions? Mine came on the computer when I bought it.

I just want to be able to print things again normally.

I have had my computer since 2009 and it had Microsoft Works on it. So not sure how it was discontinued in 2007 and I have it on here. So nothing to do with Office or anything. I'm looking to figure out if there is anything I can download that will be compatible with Microsoft Works? I have all kinds of documents on here that I can no longer print. I'm told it has to do with something with Windows 10 and the updates messing things up. I was suggested to download "open office"

Microsoft Works is still available as a standalone program for home productivity, however the development and service status is already discontinued.

We suggest that you get Microsoft Office 2010 or the latest Office version to move your files. It has a built-in compatibility that works with Microsoft Office 2010 document formats, it will work well with the files you have that used Microsoft Works.

The thread provided above explains that Microsoft Works is fully compatible with the lower versions of Windows Operating System. It may work on Windows 10 but it may not work on its full potential.

We hope this helps you with your concern and choice. We're just here if you need further help.

    Hi,

Microsoft Works is discontinued office suite last September 28, 2007. Files from Microsoft Works can be transferred to Microsoft Office 2010. It works well with the previous file formats that Microsoft Works uses because of its built-in compatibility.

There is a post in the community that has the same concern as yours and was found helpful by other members. This was posted by (A)inSeattle and KerguelenFalkland on this thread.

Feel free to post back if you have further questions. Thank you.
