How can I adjust these weirdly large margins on my text box? Changing the margins in format shape have no effect.

These text box are too large.  Not only a waste of space but weird looking.  I adjusted all margins to 0 under text and shape using Format Shape - but it had no effect.

SO PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME TO CHANGE THE MARGIN SETTINGS IN FORMAT SHAPE UNDER SHAPE OR TEXT BECAUSE I HAVE CHANGED THEM BOTH TO ALL ZEROS AND IT HAS NO EFFECT.

Have you looked at the formatting of the paragraph to see if it has indents before and after the text?

If you send me a copy of the document, referencing this thread in the covering email message, I will investigate the issue.

Changing the paragraph margin settings with the text box selected solved the issue.  Thank you.

    Hi Donnie,

To troubleshoot this issue, please confirm the following information:

    1. Please create a text box in a new Word document and see if you can change the margin. This is to check if the issue is occurring in a specific document or all the documents.
    2. Provide the screenshot of the exact version of Office installed on your PC.

Additionally, please provide a sample doc, so we can check on our end. I’ll send you a private message to collect the document. Please click hereto access your PM.

    Thanks,

    Neha
