Hi all!

I was wondering if you all have any suggestions/solutions to moving an entire WordPress site to SharePoint Online, or if it is even possible.

The WordPress site was used as an intranet, basically just for hosting information.

Thanks for your help!

Msft doesn't provide any useful migration tools and obviously WordPress sites run on a different platform which isn't compatible with SP, so it would have to be a manual rebuild.  I did successfully recreate a WP blog in SP so it's possible but quite tedious. Installing bootstrap or other framework makes it easier to deal with the lack of responsiveness and generally archaic code practices in SP.

Thank you, I guess my best option will have to be manually rebuilding it.

I saw you edited your post by striking through some parts.

Are you saying it is possible to move it? I called Support yesterday and they said it isn't possible except through maybe a third party vendor.

    Hi GraceL,

To migrate the entire WordPress site contents in an intranet to SharePoint, we can manually copy files to Office 365 via theOpen with Explorer feature orOneDrive for Business Sync Client. Code or third party Office 365 Migration Tools is also a way to migrate files to the cloud. More information can be found in the article: https://en.share-gate.com/blog/migrate-to-office-365-sharepoint-supported-scenarios .

For the third party migration tolls, I would also like to welcome community members who has experience in this area to share some ideas with us.

For the requirement to move entire WordPress site to SharePoint Online, I would like to explain that it is not feasible. Your understanding is highly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Shirley
