Office Lens Not Working on Android Phone

As soon as the document, photo, or whiteboard is saved in OneDrive, etc., Office Lens goes back to the "picture" I just photographed. When I look in OneDrive, OneNote, etc., it's not there or anywhere.  And yes, uninstalled and reinstalled, etc.

Would love to use the app, but can't!  Any help is appreciated.

Hi FeBr,

Thanks for the information.

As there is someone using the following steps to solve his problem, can you try them and share the result with us?

First, sign out of OneDrive, OneNote, Word and PowerPoint. Then log into Office Lens first and log back into the others.

Besides, the second picture you provided is the Recent notes page of OneNote, which will not appear right after you save items in Office Lens.

Thanks for your time.

Regards,

Joanne

    Hi FeBr,

    Thanks for your information.

I did the test on the same version of Office Lens as yours. As the result is different, for further troubleshooting, please confirm the following information:

    1. Recent History Page--Looks nothing like the example you gave. My Recent History Page just shows everything that was recently synced in my notebooks.

--->Please provide a screenshot of your Recent History Page to clarify this.

    1. What will happen after you tap the Check mark in the upper right corner? Please provide a screenshot if there is any.

    1. Does the issue exist after switching to a different Internet connection? No.

--->Do you mean the issue will disappear after switching to a different Internet connection? If yes, this should be caused by network.

    1. I've tried the "work around" as you've suggested. Looks terrible.

--->Can you sharing more information about the result and provide a screenshot of this to help us understand it?

After saving the item, the result should be the same whether the item is imported to Office Lens or taken via the camera of Office Lens.

In addition, can you try signing out of OneDrive, OneNote, Word and PowerPoint, then signing in again to see if this will help?

    Regards,

    Joanne

Wow! While using Office Lens, none of the results looks like the examples you have. Here are the answers to your questions:

    1. Recent History Page--Looks nothing like the example you gave. My Recent History Page just shows everything that was recently synced in my notebooks.

    1.  Yes, the same issue occurs in all locations: OneNote, OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint, PDF, and Gallery. In other words, nothing is added. It's like nothing occurred.
    2.  The Office Lens version is 16.0.7904.3000.
    3. The issue occurs before, during, and after signing in. It doesn't matter.
    4. No.

I've tried the "work around" as you've suggested. Looks terrible.

    Hi FeBr,

To understand your question better, please provide the following information:

    1. Please confirm if the Recent History page appears after you save the item. And what if you tap the item to open it?

    1. Does the same issue occur when you save items to all locations (OneNote, OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint, PDF, and Gallery)?
    2. Your Office Lens version. In Office Lens, click the ellipse in the upper right corner, choose settings, and the version shows at bottom of settings page.
    3. Does the issue exist after changing an account or signing in again?
    4. Does the issue exist after switching to a different Internet?

As a workaround, you can try importing the “picture” you just photographed to Office Lens, and crop it as you need.

    Regards,

    Joanne
