How to activate Office 2016 mac without MS account?

Hi

I've bought MS Office 2016 mac using the home use program. How can I activate my installation without creating a MS account? I have a key but there is no option to activate via key (like in the windows version).

I have a MS account for my company but I don't want to mix it with my private installations.

kind regards

Zoran

Yes, I did. Please read my first post again (home use program = HUP).

However, I tried now to install office using the installation link which I received with the key (resp. I requested a new link using my purchasing history). Also there I have to log in with a MS account before I can start the installation.

So far the only useful guide from MS was for uninstalling office on a mac. As mentioned, I'm done with office for mac. It seems that for MS mac users are way less important than windows users. :(

I've installed office 2016 for windows on my windows PC using an DVD image from MSDN. So yes, this means you can install/setup office without an MS account. It seems I have no choice than trying to contact MS support and waiting 3 hours for them to call back. :(

Okay, then I'm done with Office for mac. I'm wondering why MS is offering the "key only" option for the windows version but not for mac.

I gave up trying to activate even with an account. MS doesn't recognise any of my three accounts. I'm stuck with Office for Mac 2011 which is good enough. MS is so retro when it comes to Mac. We're second class citizens.

Unfortunately not. The instruction guides me to the activation via MS account.
