I have a need for creating a chart with a curve of the results of a sports team

I have the year in one cell and the position result besides that. (a number from 1 to 14)

When I create the chart, the high number is at the top and the low is at the bottom. But in fact this is in reverse, and I want to flip it, so it goes from 1 to 14 and not the other way around. I have searched the web, help functions without any helpfull advice. I cant flip the Y axis - there is no place to do it?

    Hi JJBaumspieler,

For what I understand, you want to place 1 at the top i.e. going from 1 to 14, as shown in the following screenshot:

If you want the result as shown in the above screenshot, then please follow the steps below:

    1. Select the chart, Click Design tab, select Style 1, as shown below:

           2. Select your chart by clicking on the border. Go to the Format tab, and in the dropdown box at the top left of your Ribbon that says Chart Area, and select Vertical (Value) Axis.

          3. Next click the Format Selection button directly beneath the dropdown list to open Format Axis Options.

         4. Select Maximum axis value and check the box beside Values in reverse order.

After this, go to Design tab again and select your previous style i.e. Style 2.
