I'm the only global admin on my account and my daughter factory reset my phone last Sunday thus wiping out my Authenticator, which was not backed up! Now I can't access my business account on Azure or 365. I've had a ticket open since last monday and I've called support 8 times now. They keep telling me someone will call me back to assist in recovering my account, but no calls. This is really frustrating since I'm unable to conduct any business from this account for over a week now. Would really appreciate some help since all of the recovery methods noted online have failed.

    @Chris Sliga
    Thank you for your time and patience on this!

    I'm sorry to hear that your daughter factory reset your phone and that your Authenticator app wasn't backed up.

    • Since this is your business account, do you have any other admins or users in your Azure AD tenant that can reset your authentication methods so you can log back into the Azure Portal?
    • Do you have other users in your tenant? If so, they can add additional authentication methods to your Azure AD account so you can login without the need of using the Authenticator App.

    To get back into your Azure AD tenant you can select the Forgot my password? option during login.

    1) Since you don't have access to the Authenticator App to verify your identity, using the code generated within your app. You can select Use a different verification option.
    2) If you have other users in your tenant that can add authentication methods. You can verify your identity via Email, or Phone/Text. If you don't have access to any of these options, select I don't have any of these.
    3) If you have your Recovery codes, you can use them. Otherwise, you can select No.
    4) After selecting No, you'll be redirected to fill out the Recover your account form to recover your Microsoft Account. For more info.

    If you're using your onmicrosoft.com or tenant specific account, you can still select Forgot my password?, which will take you other authentication methods to login. If none of the above options work, you'll have to reach out to our Azure Data Protection team for further assistance - (866-807-5850).

    For future reference, I'd also recommend creating and managing an emergency access account in Azure AD, this will help prevent being accidentally locked out of your Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) organization because you can't sign in or activate another user's account as an administrator.

    If you have any other questions, please let me know.
    Thank you for your time and patience throughout this issue.
