Produce a Printed (or PDF) report out of Sharepoint?

We have Office 365 and I'm using Sharepoint to host a list based off one of the provided templates, the "Issue Tracking" list.

I need to be able to print (or ideally export in PDF or otherwise printable format) two reports about the list.

The one I'm struggling with most, is a report with each item printed out in full - ideally, as set out in the Item View.

Is this something anyone can help me with?

Ideally, I'd love to be able to produce this report with a degree of publishing - ie with our company logo etc.

Hi SamuelRWalker,

There is no out-of-the-box feature for you to produce a report in the “View Item” format and incorporate the company logo directly.

I suggest you submit your feedback on our SharePoint UserVoice as it is the direct way for product developers to know users’ requirements.

Thanks,

Cliff

    Thanks Cliff,

I've been working on the problem, and the most efficient way I have been able to find is the export to excel you described, followed by a "directory" mail merge into a word document I pre-formated to match my formatting requirements.

It feels like a case of 4 steps where really one should do, and a situation where I'm producing a fairly standard report that people have needed to create for decades, and yet where Microsoft haven't really moved things along in all that time.

Thanks a lot for your help - you saved me a fair bit of time.

Hi Cliff. Thanks for your reply.

I can use the method you've highlighted, and each month I can tweak the excel report and it might look reasonably ok with a bit of work, but ideally I was hoping for a way that required less tweaking each month.

Also, this produces an Excel style report, and ideally, I'd have it look more like a series of pages each looking like the "View Item" view in Sharepoint.

Is there any way to reduce the work required each month (to format the report, and incorporate the company logo, etc) or to produce a report in the "View Item" format?

Thanks for any further help you can provide.

    Hi Samuel,

From your description, it seems that you have a list in a SharePoint site and want to print the site.

If yes, you can follow the steps below to see the outcome.

    1. Navigate to the list in the SharePoint site.
    2. Click Export to Excel to export the list.

    1. Open the .iqy file with  Excel 2016.
    2. Save the .iqy file as an Excel file.
    3. Save the Excel file as a PDF file.
    4. Edit and print the PDF file with an Adobe Acrobat Reader.

    Thanks,

    Cliff
