Where is the Office feedback option? I don’t have it in the File menu.

According to the Office help topic “How do I give feedback on Microsoft Office? I should be able to send feedback: “From your Office 2016 app, click File > Feedback.”

But I see no “Feedback” entry in the file menu.

Here is a screen shoot of the Office Help and Excel File menu side by side: https://framapic.org/roDKtERrIGWz/Wk9wgJX1uAen.png

Same thing in Word, Outlook, Powerpoint.

    Hi Pierre-Jean,

Which thread from DanielCo are you referring ?

The missing link is:  No more smiley ?

In this thread you will also find a suggestion for a Registry fix.

To my knowledge, it's an English version. I have specified  <Language ID="en-us" /> in the ODT configuration file.

I , wrongly, suspected a French version based on your name and my recollection of Daniel's thread. (;-

Thank for the usedvoice.com suggestion. I have posted on outlook.uservoice.com (my feedback are on outlook)

    You are welcome.

I don't believe it is an installation issue. If think it is a feature: the feedback is disabled for some reason.

Anyway I have tried the two methods you have suggested:

Method 1: Create a Test Profile: no change

Method 2: Perform the Online Repair: Office was uninstalledfrom my VM. I didn't believe it at first, so I have done it twice, and twice it removes Office. So funny.

Here is one of the repair logs found in %TEMP% folder: Office Repair logs

Note I have the same issue (missing feedback option) on two different systems:

    • One W10 laptop provided by my coprt IT.
    • One W7 VM where I have done a new installation with Office 2016 Deployment Tool (ODT). This is the system were I have tested the two methods, because I am administrator of this machine.

If you are using a French version, there may be a problem with this feature. In this connection, see the thread from DanielCo.

    Hi Pierre-Jean,

There are various causes for missing options in an Office application. Here are some troubleshooting methods that will help us isolate and resolve the issue:

Method 1: Create a Test Profile

    1. Create a new local admin account. You can follow Andre Da Cost a's wikiarticle to create a Local Account.
    2. Log into the new local account and check if the issue still occurs.

If the issue still persists, follow the Method 2.

Method 2: Perform the Online Repair

    1. Follow the steps provided in the Repair an Office application article.
    2. Make sure to select the Online Repair option for a more complete scan and repair.

If you need further assistance, let us know.
