I cannot figure out how to change a photo's transparency to use as a background in PowerPoint for the iPad.  Any ideas?

    Hi TexasMusic,

    Sorry for my misunderstanding.

Based on my test in an IPad, it offers some quick editing function and can not make a photo transparent as a background image in PowerPoint iOS.

For complete function, I suggest you use Windows or Mac.

If you just want to use your IPad, here is a workaround:

Insert a transparent picture(you can use some third-party software), then click Picture>Arrange>Send to Back to set the picture as a background.

Given the situation, I suggest you submit this idea via UserVoice or vote for this similar idea submitted by others.

    Thanks,

    Cherry

I think you linked to an incorrect article.  I want to make a photo transparent in MS PowerPoint, not Apple Pages.  Making a photo transparent in Pages doesn't help me much in PPT.
