Split from this thread.

I would like to know why my newly installed Office Suite neither allows for emojis nor other Office features for Macbook Pro with touchbar.

thank you

What version of MacOS are you running -- 10.12 Sierra?   My 10.11 El Capitan shows emoji:

Or are you asking specifically about using the Touchbar for stuff?

CyberTaz is correct on the touchbar support.

Oh, and as of the very latest version touch bar support on the bar are:

    Word

    Esc

Open new Document (look like clipboard)

    Format Painter

    Bold

    Italic

    Underline

    Background color (Highlighter)

    Font  Color

    Unordered list (Bulleted list)

    Ordered List (1., 2., 3., and etc)

    And Focus view

    In Excel

    Esc

Open new Document (look like clipboard)

    Bold

    Italic

    Underline

    Borders

    Cell color Painter

    Font Color

    Styles Menu

    Charts

    Open Recent

PowerPoint and OneNote have their own Set.

As for Emoji go to Edit Menu scroll all the way Down and choose

    Emoji & Symbols.

Can't speak to the Touch Bar issue other than that it was to have been added in the 15.31 update. To what extent I can't say because I don't have a Touch Bar Mac.

The complete library of Apple Emoji is available from Edit> Emoji & Symbols.
