OneNote - managing tasks

I would like to manage all my tasks in one place.  I have many pages with tasks on them, but if I consolidate the lists it doesn't tell me what page the task belong to.  For example one task could be Call Roger in CompanyXYZ company page.  But I also have a task saying Call Roger in CompanyABC.  How can I distinguish between these without having to go to each page.  I can probably try to label each task with the company page, but hopefully there is a better solution.

    Hello Monica,

If you are referring to tasks in OneNote that you created through Outlook, we suggest  that you check the steps provided below:

As you take notes and plan projects in OneNote, you might wonder how to manage deadlines and remember the things on your to-do list. One way is to create Outlook tasks. Then you can view and track those tasks in Outlook and even get reminders.

Create an Outlook task in OneNote

    1. In OneNote, select the words that you want to be your task.
    2. In the menu that appears, click the arrow next to the Outlook Tasks button and choose a reminder.

A flag appears next to your task in OneNote and your task is added to Outlook.

Note: You can also use this menu to add note tags. Note tags are handy for things like creating to-do lists or marking items as important. Unlike Outlook tasks (flags) though, note tags are a feature of OneNote. You can tag action items in meeting notes in OneNote, but they won’t show up in Outlook.

    Fin a task in OneNote

    • Choose Find Tags in the home tab.

Your Outlook tasks will be in the Tags Summary pane on the right.

Note: Outlook tasks are the ones with the flags or check marks. You’ll also see OneNote tags here too, such as things you’ve marked for follow-up or tagged as a question.

    Mark task as complete

    • In the Tags Summary pane in OneNote, check the flag next to an Outlook task.

The task is marked as completed in both the OneNote Tags Summary pane and in Outlook.

    Tips:

    * When you mark a task as complete in Outlook, the task is marked as complete in OneNote when Outlook and OneNote sync. If you check the task as complete in OneNote, it gets marked as complete in Outlook and is removed from your tasks list.

    * If you'd like to add the task back into Outlook, check the box again.

OneNote and Outlook work together in other ways too. For example, you can manage meeting details and send notes in an email message.

Let us know how it goes and we'll give you further assistance if needed.

    Thanks for the response.

But I have checked my OneNote 2017, and I can't find that Outlook Tasks Button in the Menu.

And, can I create Outlook Tasks in my OneNote Mobile an Laptop App.

    Thanks

This really didn't solve my problem - In the example above if you had REVIEW BOOK LIST as a task for every page and you had 10 pages (I'm in sales so at some point I need to send pricing to each customer so a lot of the tasks will be the same for each) it would show up as 10 items in my outlook tasks with them all saying REVIEW BOOK LIST.  The only way I can figure out to do this is to have the customer name in front of each task.  This is a lot of extra typing.  I was just wondering if anyone came up with a brilliant suggestion.
