HOW TO SEARCH A WORD FROM WITHIN THE DOCUMENT BUT WITHOUT OPENING WORD FILE?

Sir/Madam,

Please let me know how to solve a problem about searching a word within the document itself without opening any word file. I explain clearly that sometimes I have to search for a word amongst several word document files but cannot remember the word particularly in the document without opening all the word document files separately. For e.g. if I have word document files namely A, B, C, D,.......Z but in any of the file content inside I have written "WITH REFERENCE TO THE ABOVE" and saved but I have forgot right now. So in that case I do not want to open all the 26 word files separately but instead of that computer will search for the above content in such a way that the above line or word or sentence is on File no. D.

So I request you to kindly give me the best possible solution to overcome this problem.

Thanks,

SWOHAM BHATTACHARYYA

    See this screenshot:

I searched for the word 'house'. It does NOT occur in any filename, but there are two documents that contain 'house' in their text.

Perhaps you need to allow Windows Search to index the folder you want to search. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQxGh46gByk

Open File Explorer (aka Windows Explorer).

Navigate to the folder containing the documents.

Click in the search box in the upper right corner, below the ribbon.

Enter the word you want to search for, then press Enter.

PS:  I have thousands of documents on my computer. I know that there is only one document containing the term - office.com/myaccount.   I entered it in the search box and the search brought up the only document containing that term.  That term is not part of the document name.
