Hi

After using the microsoft office uninstaller, to uninstall office 2016. I am left with the problem of removing,

office 16 Click-to-Run Extensibility Component.

have tried to uninstall the above from; windows/installer subject, office 16 Click-to-Run Extensibility Component. But the uninstall was refused. It displays the message; The action is only valid for products that are installed.

I then looked for the above in regedit, but a search of Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products, did not locate it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards Alan.

Removing; office 16 Click-to-Run Extensibility Component. On windows 10, 64bit system.

Download office 2016 Uninstall tool from microsoft.

    After using uninstall tool.

    press windows+R,

    type in installer,

    look under "subject" heading,

for office 16 Click-to-Run Extensibility Component files (there was four files on my PC)

I treied to un-install these files but that was refused. The action is only valid for products that are installed.

These four files are orphan files, left behind after using office 2016 uninstall tool.

These files can now be deleted.

    Hi

Thanks for the reply to my problem, but I managed to cure the issue by deleting the four office click to run files.

I had previously removed office 2016 by using microsoft's own office 2016 removal program.

It must leave these orphan click to run files behind.

Once again, thanks for the reply.

    Regads Alan.
