    Hi Roger,

    To open .XBRL files in Excel, you can follow the steps below.

    1. Open Excel, drag the .XBRL file into Excel, you will see two prompt dialog boxes. Click OK.

    1. Wait for the Excel import the data. Then you can see the import status in the following window.

    Thank you.  I have some more work to do to figure out how to use these databases.  I may stick with the CSV formats for the time being - then maybe go to a course on XBRL.
