TEXT only HIGHLIGHTS in BLUE

When I select text in order to highlight it, it will ONLY highlight in BLUE.

Why can't I choose the other colors offered?

    Hi Liz,

    We need to isolate the main issue if this has something to do with the app itself or with the subscription downloaded on your PC. Please follow the steps below:

    Step 1: Clean Boot.

    It will start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and start up programs. It will also eliminate software conflicts that could occur when you install a program, or an update, or when you run a program in Windows.

    Note:  After clean boot troubleshooting steps, refer to the section "How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot" in the provided link to return your computer to Normal startup mode.

    Step 2: In Word 2016, hit Ctrl A to select all text, then click on Styles under the home tab and click on **Remove formatting.**That Blue highlight should disappear.

    Thanks for the thought, but this does not help. 

    I never had a problem with this until I downloaded the subscription version of the Office Suite. Highlighting has always worked before.  

    Any other thoughts?

    Have you tried selecting the highlight color before selecting the text?
