Change default template for ALL sections in OneNote 2013

Is there a way to change the default template for ALL sections? I know how to change the default template for a given section, so that every new page in that section is of a given template. But every time I open a new section, I have to set the default template. I have a lot of sections, so I hate changing the default template every time.

Basically, I want OneNote to ALWAYS open pages in the Letter Template.

Thanks for the help,

Sam

    Hi Adam,

Saving templates on each section and page can take much of our time. However, there's a way to save a default template for one section. It will allow you to add pages on that section with the default template you want. Check these steps and images:

         1. Click on Insert tab, then Pages Templates.

         2. Customize your own template, then click Save current page as template.

         3. Once done, click on drop-down list**,** then choose the template that you've saved.

It only applies for one section. However, we suggest that you provide a feedback to our OneNote team. This is to let them know how to better enhance our product.

    Best regards,

Thanks, but you're not answering the question.

I know how to do what you outlined.

The question was how to set a default template for the entire notebook (ALL sections).

I'm assuming the answer is "no, you can't."

    This is correct.

You can create a new notebook with only one section which you can use as a template by using it as a copy source.

I don't understand why they made this so hard!!

All I want is to be able to define a page template to be used as default for any page in the entire notebook.

Having to set it for every section is a major problem.

Or could we set up a section template? And that template contained the default template for pages?

    Something?

Not sure if this is possible.
