Onenote keeps creating "quick notes" section in my notebook

I'm using OneNote 2016 and for some reason, it keeps creating a "quick notes" section in my main notebook. However, I already have the original "quick notes" section in that same notebook. The original quick notes section is set to default on in every place; in the desktop, in the android app, in the mail to OneNote section. It all funnels into the original "quick notes" section in my "Personal" notebook. Why does it keep creating a new one? The new section is always labeled "quick notes 3". All my OneNote notebooks are in my OneDrive.

Hi Angela,

From your description, your OneNote is keeping creating new “quick notes” section to your notebook. To narrow down the issue, please provide the information below:

  1. Screenshot about the new created quick notes.
  2. What actions do you do when the new quick note section appears? For example, re-open a notebook or the OneNote app? Please tell us the detailed steps about the issue.
  3. Please go to File>options>save & backup>Save>, will you see the other quick notes section locations?

     4. What is your Office version? You can go to file>accounts>product information to see the version information.

I was able to get it to stop re-creating a new "quick notes" section by closing all my notebooks. Then clearing my notebook cache. Then reopening them. It's been fine all day since I did that. Thank you for the quick response though.
