How do you indent text WITHIN A CELL in excel?

This was a very simple question:  how do I indent inside of a cell?  There is no need for a picture.

If someone can explain this to me, please do.  But it is a very easy, basic question.

Unfortunately the solution provided just does not work in some cases. As for myself, your proposed solution simply did not work. The spaces at the beginning of the new line are not shown. I could create a new line for the end of the sentences and add the spaces, but this also throws off the format. Therefore, the solution is not all encompassing and is not being ignored due to it "being too cumbersome and labor-intensive". At this point I am unable to create the document in the way that I needed it. So I will have come up with anew way of presenting the information and hope that it is accepted with no issue by the end user. *Sigh*

I still do not understand why that is necessary.  All that I want to do is indent lines of text within a cell.  It either can be done or it cannot.

To get multiple lines within a cell use Alt + Enter to start a new line within the cell.

To indent any line simply use spacebar a few times.
