Copying data validations from one Excel workbook to another?

Hello,

When I copy a cell in one workbook and do a 'Paste... Special... Validations' into an cell in another workbook, I only get the reference to the other workbook and a '#REF!' error message for the actual cell range reference.

Is it possible to copy data validations from one Excel workbook to another?  I just can't get it to work properly.

Thank you!

    Hi Pat,

Data validations are one of the formatting types of Excel. The #REF! error messages are an indication that your copied data was mismatched from the source. To know how you can copy the selected range of data successfully, visit this link and go to the section “Tips for working with data validation”.
