Sentinel HASP for Windows 10/11

I use a HASP key for unlocking software for a specific software I use for work. But less than a month ago there was a Windows 10 update that made the HASP key stop working. It also doesn't work on my new Windows 11 laptop. The company who makes the keys supposedly has an update driver but that doesn't work either and the software company doesn't know of any fix yet and it is critical for it to work as it is for Fire Life Safety.

I can confirm that v8.11 works for me.

What I suggest you do is manually remove the HASP drivers.

download the CLI runtime from [https://supportportal.gemalto.com/csm?id=kb_article&sys_id=61fb0ee1dbd2e78cfe0aff3dbf9619ab

extract the file and run the commands:

    haspdinst.exe –remove

    and

    haspdinst.exe –purge

uninstall all other related software and reboot. Then install v8.11 from above.

    Hi All,

Just thought I'd say I managed to resolve this issue.

I think its party down to pc security blocking the Hardware Key.

    this is a helpful link;

    https://docs.sentinel.thalesgroup.com/ldk/LDKdocs/SPNL/LDK_SLnP_Guide/Appendixes/Problems%20and%20Solutions.htm

    User's image

You need to install this, during the install it will promt you to allow it through the windows firewall.

Uninstalled the sentinel runtime software and re-installed Sentinel_LDK_Run-time_setup.

    From here : https://supportportal.gemalto.com/csm?sys_kb_id=979a4e21db92e78cfe0aff3dbf9619c6&id=kb_article_view&sysparm_rank=5&sysparm_tsqueryId=b5bf2849db6465904f917828f496198c&sysparm_article=KB0018319

As soon as I'd installed the liscence manager and allowed the software through the firewall my Securty Key lit up again and was detected by the sofware again.

    Hope this helps
