Re: Office 365 smooth scrolling issue

Win 7 Pro 64 Bit

16 GB RAM

Office 365

Logitech G500 mouse with standard gaming software

Mouse set to scroll 6 lines a time.

In Word and Outlook (only parts of Office I use a lot), smooth scrolling does not work. Each "click" of wheel moves 6 lines, but in a "jerky" fashion. Note that this does not happen in applications like Firefox or Chrome.

The solution is NOT to decrease the number of lines per click, I wish to keep it on that setting.

Chrome used to have the same problem, and they eventually fixed it.

I'm sure that this issue is pretty far down on the bug list, but it is pretty annoying....

Smooth scrolling in Office would add some shine to a pretty product.

Please, Please how do you turn off smooth scrolling - it drives me insane and I end up getting angry.  I do not want to turn off global OS animations - just get rid of this annoying smooth scrolling in the application.  I have stopped using MS Office because of this.

    Hi Kireta,

By default smooth scrolling will be enabled in Word\Excel.

There is no option within the application to enable or disable it.

To change the settings you may try the following steps and check if it helps.

Go Control Panel, System and security, system, advanced system settings, click on Advanced tab which is on the left hand side of the screen, click on settings under performance tab, under visual effects you would find the option.

I hope the above information helps. Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Thank you.
