Access 2010 to 2013/2016 - Access Data Projects are no longer supported

When opening an existing Access 2010 DB in Access 2013, I get the screen:

Access Data Projects are no longer supported in this version of Access

From what I can see posted in the community, the only answer is "use a different version of Access".

WTH??

If that isn't an option, what has to happen to convert my ADP db to 2013 or 2016?

Absolutely stupid in my opinion. ADPs were very handy and we've been using them to simplify user interfaces for staff ever since MS first created Access. Just more reason why people don't want to use things like 365/hosted Office, since they keep making changes that negatively impact past creations.

Companies are going to keep running 2007/10 as long as they keep seeing stuff like this.

You can still link your SQL Server database to a standard Access front end.

Sadly, MS did away with ADP.  You don't have many options, but the create a standard db or switch to an alternate technology altogether.

Very frustrating for many users and developers alike.
