How to convert .docx to image files?

I have saved a 97 page document in .docx format.  I need to save it in individual pages as a JPG or TIFF format. How do I do this?  I want to publish the document as a book, and Blurb, Artscow and other online publishers only accept image files or an extreme version of Adobe InDesign (which I don't have). A commercial DOC to Image converter program is over $70.

Download the trial version of SnagIt and direct the print output to the SnagIt driver. The trial version is fully operational and will work for this task to save in a variety of graphics formats including TIFF and JPG. Later you can either uninstall it or buy the application, which includes superb screen capture and useful graphics editing tools.

Hi Dan,

Save it as a PDF and then you can use a product like this and convert the PDF pages to JPG files.

I know this is old, but I have again needed to do this.

I found that in Word you can print to OneNote with options for image resolution etc. Then in OneNote you can right click on the image and save as PNG.

    Hope this helps someone.

A trial version of Universal Document Converter will solve the issue.  It can convert the Word to JPG or Tiff instantly however large the file may be. I really like its speed. And also if a full version is required, it is way cheaper than any other DOC converter in the market. I convert my ebooks with this.

    Using Mac OSX:

    1. Word docx either save as a PDF or open in PDF preview (file, print, PDF preview)
    2. PDF - now export (file, export)
    3. Under format choose TIFF
