Configuring display scaling or turning on ClearType can help make text sharper and easier to read. You may perform these methods to get smooth fonts.
Method 1:
- Open your Microsoft Office installation folder.
- Right-click on Word icon.
- Select Properties.
- Click on Compatibility tab.
- Under Settings, select Disable display scaling on high DPI settings.
- Click Apply > OK.
Method 2: Use ClearType Text Tuner.
- On the Search box, type Adjust ClearType text, then click on the result.
- Select or tick the box on Turn on ClearType > Next.
- If you have multiple monitors, you will be asked if you want to tune all your monitors now, then click Next.
- Windows will check if your monitor is set to its native resolution, then click Next.
- You'll be asked to select the text that you're comfortable reading > Next.
- Click Finish.
